In a pure Huh? moment, the Wall Street Journal is saying that EA will be bringing back some of the employees that were let go during yesterday’s announcement. 

“We will be hiring back positions in low-cost locations to maintain capacity.” -EA Chief Financial Officer Eric Brown

How do you fire someone one day only the next to say they’re going to hire them back?  Why don’t you instead ask those employees if they’d rather take a paycut first?  That would seem to make more sense.  I don’t think I’d want to work in a place that would fire me one day and then say, “Oh wait, we want you here now.”
