Ask and you shall receive.  Digital Leisure’s Paul Gold has sent along some details concerning Copter Crisis coming out in just a little over a week.  I asked what the story of the game entailed and he had the following to say:

Well, without giving too much away, you’ll start off as a new Cadet with the Black Rock Canyon HRS. Black Rock HRS is renowned for their keen search and rescue tactics as well as their strong affinity for Mediterranean cuisine.  As a member of the HRS Squad, you will be tasked with searching and rescuing lost, confused and irritated hikers and delivering pristine HRS Action Figures to the canyon’s gift shops. Recently, Black Rock has been host to a team of scientists; lead by the famous Dr. Jack Derrida. These scientists
claim that some mysterious treasure is hidden miles beneath the canyon that could reveal the origin of life on earth. Who knows what secrets their excavations might reveal?

The Wii Remote is used to control the helicopter during flight and you’ll have to maintain a good air speed while maneuvering through the game’s 30 missions.  During those missions you’ll be doing things like rescuing lost tourists, delivering supplies to outposts, exploring mysterious archeological digs, avoiding anti-aircraft fire and getting the groceries.

In addition to the game’s initial batch of helicopters there will be 10 additional military grade helicopters that you will be able to purchase through the game’s DLC menu.  Each of these helicopters have unique features such as extra hull plating or the ability to do loops allowing you to double back on missed landing zones.  

Copter Crisis comes out in Europe on November 27^th and in America on November 30^th and will cost 500 Nintendo Points.  The DLC helicopters will be available at the launch of the game and will cost 100 Nintendo Points each.  We’ll have a review for the game available shortly after the North American launch.
