Well, it’s officially official.  The long rumoured Sonic the Hedgehog title Project Needlemouse has been officially revealed as Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1.  This also gives the impression that there will be other titles in the series after this one.  The even better news is that the game will be coming to WiiWare and will use some motion control.  The games, as said by a member of the development team, will be for all intents and purposes identical across the three platforms, with few exceptions.  Those being graphical capabilites; the Wii version will display at 480p and the 360 & PS3 version will display in 1080p.  The PS3 and Wii versions will also use Motion control in some respect.

So how do you feel about this?  I’ve played a number of Sonic games in the past, and while they’re not my favorites I have enjoyed them and will definitely be picking this one up as soon as it comes out.
