Scribblenauts 2 Coming This Year
Did you play Scribblenauts when it was released this year? It was the media darling at E3 and got a lot of well deserved attention coming out of the event. Unfortunately once the public was able to get their hands on the game things came unraveled just a bit. It was discovered that controlling Maxwell was a bit more tedious than it should have been. The game was a great, innovative puzzler and the base for a really great experience was there. Well, WB Interactive Entertainment agrees with you and they’ve officially announced Scribblenauts 2 for release later this year.
We’ve posted a review of the game so you can see our thoughts on the original title. I mentioned that I thought the only thing really holding the title back was the control scheme. Well, here are some details about the release of the second game and an updated control scheme is included in the list.
Developed by 5TH Cell exclusively for the Nintendo DS
-D-pad control for Maxwell in addition to significantly improved stylus controls
-Improved physics
-Revamped levels with more ways to solve the puzzles
-10,000 new adjectives. No new objects, but the ability to string together adjectives with the nouns will greatly improve the combinations available to you
You can see the gamers were listened to and these changes could make for the potential best game of 2010 for the DS. We’ll see once Scribblenauts 2 hits stores this Fall.
