Howdy everyone.  We’re starting another new feature here at Nintendo Okie.  It’s called Quick Hits and I’ll tell you a little about it.  This is a quick interview session where we ask different people around the video games industry 5 quick questions, that usually don’t relate to the game they’re currently working on.  So many times in interviews it’s only about the projects under development, but we thought we’d bring you  an interview that will get you to know a little more about each person a bit better.  Each interview will feature the same questions.  We’ll ask them to introduce themselves then answer these five questions.  First up is Alex Neuse of Gaijin Games.

Can you introduce yourself to everyone?

My name is Alex Neuse, and I’m the CEO/Designer at Gaijin Games.

What are your favorite games from the past?

Metroid, Adventure, Stampede, Breakout, Blaster Master, Super Metroid, Yoshi’s Island, Silent Hill 2.

What are your favorite games from this generation?

Fallout 3, Rez HD, Mass Effect series.

If you could meet one other person in the gaming industry who would it be?

Shigeru Miyamoto.

If someone came to you wanting to know what it would take to do your job what piece of advice would you give them?

Be patient, follow your passion, and roll up your sleeves, because it’s a lot of hard work.

If you weren’t making games now what do you think you’d be doing?

Crying.

Thank you so much for joining us Alex.  Gaijin Games have released three games in their Bit.Trip franchise.  They are currently working on the fourth, Bit.Trip Runner, which is scheduled to be released on May 17th.
