Sunflex Europe showed off their new Wii Remote during E3 and today they’re releasing some of the first images of their new controller. This new version of the Wii Remote is 25% smaller than the standard model, comes with an eco-friendly mode that uses less battery power and uses an external sync button to connect to your Wii console.
I’m all about alternatives to the Wii Remote and third parties have been doing a pretty good job of getting interesting controllers out there for people who want some variety. While I wasn’t able to see these controllers in person at E3 they seem like they’ll be a good alternative for people with smaller hands or especially young kids.
One thing from these images I’m not keen on is the placement of the 1 and 2 buttons. They seem like they’re positioned very akwardly for playing games with the Wii Remote held sideways. I’d really like to get my hands on these controllers to see how they feel when playing a game.

Somebody messed up in the design room!
I’m all for 3rd Party controllers, but this is just bad button placement.
