Not The Last Story for Sakaguchi
On the podcast this week we talked about a quote from Hironobu Sakaguchi saying that The Last Story might in fact be his last game. That was, apparently, not the case and it was an error in the translation. What was actually said was:
“Emotionally it feels like this is my last work, while pouring everything I have gotten into this project,”
So don’t fret RPG fans. The man that’s been behind some of the biggest names in Japanese role playing game’s isn’t going anywhere just yet. There’s still more life in him. Previously Mr. Sakaguchi worked at Square Enix on the Final Fantasy series, but he’s also been involved in games like Kingdom Hearts, Blue Dragon, Xenogears and Parasite Eve.
He left Square Enix in 2004 and formed a new company, Mistwalker. He’s currently working on The Last Story, which is set to hit Wii in Japan later this year.
