Nintendo Okie’s Metroid Week: Day 1
Metroid: Other M comes out next week, folks. Are you excited yet? I know I am. To celebrate the release of this latest Metroid installment, I have picked my brain and worked my fingers to the bone to bring you a week full of Metroid information. Every day this week (through Friday) I will be uploading three separate posts that will help you review all things Metroid and get you ready for the release of Other M.
Each day I will make a post of chronology, technology and ecology. The chronology post will be my summaries of the Metroid timeline, game by game. The technology post will showcase some of the weaponry Samus has in her arsenal and explain how it works. The ecology post will cover some of the planets important to the Metroid universe as well as some of its more fearsome enemies.
Today’s chronology will review the two volume Metroid manga that explains the origin story of Samus. I realize it isn’t a Metroid game but the story is official cannon and I rather enjoy it. Hopefully you will too. Thanks to the fine people over at Metroid Database, you can read the manga for yourself if you like. You can find part one here and part two here. In the technology entry for today I will cover the Wave Beam, Phazon Suit and Morph Ball. As for the ecology, today is set to review the planet SR388 and the creatures known as the Ing.
Remember, there is a slight spoiler warning for all the previously released Metroid games. However, there is no need to worry about Other M spoilers at all. Once you are done reading, be sure to leave comments and let us know what you think. Enjoy!

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity

There will be no spoilers for me. I’ve played them all
I actually still own them all for that matter.
