Nintendo Okie’s Metroid Week: Day 2
Welcome back, everyone, to day two of Nintendo Okie’s Metroid Week. What better way to spend your Tuesday than learning about the terrifying universe of Metroid? Today is going to be a good one as the chronology post will look at the story of NES original, Metroid, its GBA retelling, Metroid: Zero Mission and Samus’ first step into the third dimension, Metroid Prime. Metroid and Metroid Prime are my number one and two favorite game of all so I am pretty pumped to share my summaries with everybody. Today’s look at Samus’ technology will explain the Spazer Beam, Gravity Suit and (my personal favorite) Screw Attack. What would The Huntress’ weapons be without planets and enemies to use them on so today’s ecology will cover Metroid Prime‘s Tallon IV and the Space Pirate everybody loves to kill, Ridley.
As always, these posts carry a slight spoiler warning for all released Metroid games. However, no Other M spoilers will be found in these posts so worry not. I also want to point out that Tony has added a new archive section to the site specifically for Metroid Week. You can find it in the menu bar at the top of the screen that way you can quickly find any of the info we put up this week. Also, leave us a comment letting us know how you are enjoying the content. A member of our Facebook group summed things up pretty well. It’s like shark week, except with Metroids. Have a great Tuesday, everybody.
