Euro News Round-Up: Week Ending 08/01
Happy New Year! We hope you had a great Christmas and New Year, and to start the new year in style, here’s your first Euro News Round-Up of 2011. With everything 3DS going on in Japan, Europe has been quiet in the opening week of the year, but expect news to start filtering through in the next few weeks. Stay tuned people!
Sonic’s 20!
It seems the anniversaries keep coming in gaming! Last year saw Mario reach 25, and Nintendo underwhelm the event with All-Stars, and this year sees his once great rival, Sonic, reach the milestone of 20! SEGA are promising big things from the anniversary year, with a site already set up in preparation of whatever they’re planning. Naturally Sonic 4: Episode 2 will be released, and we’re already seeing some novel merchandise, but what else is on the horizon? A SEGA representative says to look out for 3 major announcements soon. I can’t wait!
NintendoTV Against The World
This week’s NintendoTV sees the team meet Edgar Wright, the director of Scott Pilgrim Against The World. In the episode we get an insight into the gaming influences of the film and much more. Check it out on the Nintendo Channel now!

Keep an eye on the site on January 19th for the latest news from the European 3DS Information Event. I’ll also be writing up a special article on it later in the day to help you make sure you know everything you need to before you head out to pre-order it!
EDIT: It has just been brought to my attention that the Nintendo Europe 3DS site is now live. Check it out at http://www.nintendo.co.uk/NOE/en_GB/nintendo_3ds_23802.html. Just a placeholder for now but I’m excited by it!
