Euro News Round-Up: Week Ending 29/10

Euro News Round-Up

With the Nintendo world going Zelda crazy this week, you would be forgiven for thinking that nothing else is happening. Well that’s almost true, but Nintendo have one more surprise up their sleeve – two new 3DS colours!

Two new 3DS colour bundles in November

Seems I was wrong after all about not waiting for a white 3DS. Nintendo will be releasing the aforementioned white 3DS, technically known as Ice White, as part of a Super Mario 3D Land bundle available on November 18th. Nintendo are also aiming for the female market this Christmas, with a Coral Pink version of the 3DS being released in a bundle with Nintendogs + Cats. Will these new bundles spike sales this Christmas? Perhaps, although one thing is for sure; I wish I’d waited for that white 3DS…

And finally…

UK based developer Traveller’s Tales have said that creating a LEGO Doctor Who game would be ‘epic’, however mentioned that to create a LEGO game there has to be a physical series of LEGO products. Until that happens, LEGO Doctor Who remains a dream.

Man, I would buy a Lego Doctor Who game in a second. I actually think the property would work well for both the physical Lego’s and the way the games are structured. Just imagine running around the universe with 11 different Doctors, plus all the companions and other characters they’ve had over the years. You could create a whole series of games based off that one property, and I’d buy every one.

I also like the White 3DS, though I’m really holding out for one of the purple ones they had when they first showed off the system.
