Unchained Blades Coming to 3DS eShop
UnchainBlades ReXX was a retail RPG published in Japan by XSEED Games, set in a monster-filled world, and was directed by Toshio Akashi of the Lunar series, while the game’s story was penned by Grandia series veteran Takashi Hin. The biggest news for North American fans isn’t only that the game is coming over to the US, but that it will be coming in a different form. This will be the first full retail game on the Nintendo 3DS to be published on the eShop. It will also be coming to the PSP as a downloadable title sometime in 2012. It will be getting a slight name change for North America being known now as Unchained Blades.
The game is being developed by FuRyu and is most interesting in that all of the game’s 13 main characters are designed by someone different. The game is a huge collaborative effort by people like Mr. Akashi as well as Toshiyuki Kubooka (Lunar), Shinichiro Otsuka (Summon Night). According to a press release sent out by XSEED today you can be prepared for more than 60 hours of game play and a unique system called “Unchain” where the players can attempt to convince monsters to join them and fight.
