Euro News Round-Up: Week Ending 21/04
This week was reasonably quiet for Nintendo, that was until we got a special Nintendo Direct feed for the first time! We’ve got big Kid Icarus news, a handful of release dates and the release of one of the best 3DS apps currently available.
Nintendo Direct Europe Round-Up
For the first time ever, Nintendo of Europe filmed a special Nintendo Direct this week to reveal some big news. Perhaps the biggest story to come out of Nintendo Direct is the fantastic news that the Kid Icarus: Uprising AR cards are going to be sold in stores across Europe thanks to a new deal with card manufacturer, Panini. While no date has been set yet, rumour has it that there will also be a collectible card book on sale to store them in. Good news indeed.
Nintendo also unveiled two new Pokemon games to compliment the new Black & White versions coming later this year – Pokemon AR Searcher and Pokedex Pro, both of which will be downloadable eShop titles. Rhythm Paradise also got a release date of July 6th, along with Kingdom Hearts 3D arriving on July 20th. Heroes of Ruin will arrive earlier than expected on June 15th.
Nintendo also confirmed that New Super Mario Bros 2 will arrive in Europe this August, and a 3DS update will be applied this coming Wednesday.
