This week we have news of a Kid Icarus tour, the launch of Nintendo Zone and a return to the top for Super Mario 3D Land!

Kid Icarus multiplayer events announced

Think you’re a Kid Icarus: Uprising master? Well here’s your chance to prove it. Nintendo’s own Kid Icarus Battle Squad are touring the UK over the next 4 weeks, challenging anyone who comes down to the event. Simply bring along your 3DS and copy of Kid Icarus: Uprising and join in the fun at any of the events. All attendees win a Kid Icarus poster, but victorious players get a selection of AR cards – given that they’re still not available in stores this is a great prize!

The battle squad will be in the following locations;

HMV Oxford Circus – Saturday 28th April
HMV Reading Oracle – Saturday 5th May
HMV Birmingham Bullring – Saturday 12th May
HMV Brighton Churchill – Saturday 19th May

Nintendo Zone launches

To coincide with the 3DS system update, Nintendo have launched Nintendo Zone, a collection of 25000 wi-fi hotspots across Europe. This means that wherever there is a Nintendo Zone hotspot you can now connect your 3DS and receive SpotPass data and receive exclusive Nintendo Zone content. No news on what this will be yet, but as soon as we hear we’ll let you know!
