Ubisoft Brings Zombies to U

Capcom and EA aren’t the only developers that have a survival horror franchises anymore. Ubisoft has announced they’re bringing a new game to the genre, exclusively for Wii U. It’s called ZombiU and it’s one of eight titles that will be available from Ubisoft on Wii U. The game takes place in the middle of London during 2012 as an outbreak has affected the population. The game is being developed by Ubisoft Montpelier, famous for games like From Dust, Beyond Good & Evil and Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter.

The Wii U Gamepad will be shown off through a new feature called the Bug Out Bag, which contains all of your zombie fighting tools such as maps, weapons and the limited supplies you can scavenge from the environment. According to the developers, the touch screen, gyroscope and camera create a tactile connection between the gamer and the in-game world.

For those with plans to take over the world, the game’s new multi-player mode, Zombie Master, will have you using the Wii U Gamepad to control hordes of zombies on the touch screen while the second player fights for his life on the TV.

ZombiU is a dark and daunting game that gamers will love to play again and again,” said Guillaume Brunier, producer at Ubisoft. “ZombiU takes advantage of the Nintendo Wii U’s one-of-a-kind capabilities and will be a launch title that every gamer will want to sink their teeth into.”

Keep an eye out at Nintendo Okie for more information in the coming months or you can visit the game’s official website, www.zombiu.com.
