But it’s still not quite right.  Nintendo pushed out an update for their 3DS messaging service Swapnote today with no fanfare at all.  It wasn’t until I went to the eShop to download my demo of Heroes of Ruin that I even knew the update was available.  The update adds the use of colored ink for your messages by pressing left or right on the d-pad.  There are six colors available but like most things with Nintendo it’s a step in the right direction but still not quite right.  You can’t actually use multiple colors on a single message.  All of the ink will change color as you cycle through.

I would love to be able to do things like play a Swapnote version of Draw Something on the 3DS, but without being able to use different colors it’s still not quite right.
