Nintendo Okie Podcast – Episode 127

It’s been a slow news week.  We cover a few stories but it really doesn’t take us long to talk about more AR cards, Japanese toys and a possible falling out between Nintendo and EA.  After that, we decide to fill time with a few random scenarios.  Feel free to play along at home and decide what you would do as well.  Be warned, you might have to make some tough decisions.

If you’re not too shy, send us your answers to the random scenarios we talk about.  Don’t forget, we do another podcast every week where we ask trivia questions.  If you are a Twitter person, you can follow us here.  If you are of the Facebook persuasion, you can join us here.  If you just like to see text and no pictures, perhaps our forum will make you happy.  However, you probably shouldn’t subscribe to our YouTube channel.  It’s too funny.

Shelby would have lifted his shirt in taco bell and would have had Miyamoto sign his belly and then discontinued bathing for the rest of his life.

Thanks guys for all the suggestions. One more this is the micro back lit and is it better then the sp. Where is the best place to purchase a gameboy?

The GBA Micro has an adjustable backlight. I’d try to use any local resource first. With hardware, I definitely appreciate being able to check condition first.

It’s a very different system than the SP. It’s very small, and if you plan on playing a lot of menu-heavy games, I’d make sure you’re comfortable reading on the screen. However, because of the small screen, the pixel density is great, and the games look really crisp and sharp!

If I had to choose one, I’d probably prefer the SP, but I definitely recommend both systems and the GB Player.

I’m more interesting in seeing the 2 Gamecubes, 2 TVs, and a gameboy player just to see the Tingle Tuner in action. Pics or it didn’t happen!

Oh, we’ll make it happen. I think there are pictures somewhere of when we LAN’d GameCubes and the Game Boy Player for Mario Kart on the GBA. I’ll see if I can find one of those.

By the way. I think this is by far my favorite episode of the show we’ve ever recorded.

Man, if you’re gonna use TV’s for GBA -> GCN connectivity, go all the way: http://www.gamepad.it/2008/03/zelda-four-swords-5-gamecubes-5-tvs-sweet-zelda-party/

I use the gba/gamecube cables all the time with my Wii. My family and I play Pacman VS, Gamecube Four Swords , and FF Crystal Chronicles. Works great and everything is in 480p. The best of both worlds. Love the show. It is equal Giant Bomb or Radio Free Nintendo to me.
