Will the Party Game Fad Continue on Wii U?
Game Party Champions was announced yesterday by Warner Bros. Interactive. To my knowledge this is the first third-party mini-game collection announced for Wii U. It’s actually the fourth game in the Game Party franchise which, according to every review I’ve ever read, is an awful series of games.
According to the press release, all of the players take turns using the Wii U Game Pad to control the action. When it’s not your turn you can use a Wii Remote to grief (wreak havoc) on the active player. If that doesn’t get you excited I don’t know what will. There are three different modes of play; Quick Play, Story Mode and Party Mode, as well as games like table hockey, hoop shot, ping pong and skill ball.

People were eager to call Pokemon a fad, too. Look how that turned out.
Not saying party games are the same quality, but 6+ years is a long time.
I love Nintendo don’t get me wrong but I want to go back to the days when the Nintendo seal meant something. They fixed the market long by not releasing crappy games.
