Squirrels With Lightsabers

I’m on record as a non-Star Wars fan.  Don’t get me wrong, I like the movies, I just don’t get all worked up like some do.  My fanboy interests are focused elsewhere.  However, both my geekdom and engineer status can’t deny the awesomeness that is the lightsaber.  As I proved last weekend, I also have an obsession with funny animal pictures.  This Free Weekend, these two things have come together.  No more words as these pictures say far more than I could ever hope to.

Why do you want to arm them with light sabers? They could turn to the darkside then what are you going to do about it?

“I’m on record as a non-Star Wars fan.”

Leave. NOW! Pretty big fan (not like super nerd, but enjoy the series and “galaxy” settings) myself. I’ve edited a few photos over the last several years, and even made a video for May the 4th this year with our two little ones.

This was the first time I had ever seen the Jedi Squirrels video though.

Now that I think about it, I was “attacked” by our oldest tonight with a lightsaber and “force lightning”.

As I’m reading these comments I can look to my right and see a lightsaber propped up in the corner. Jake was out in the yard this afternoon playing with the neighborhood kids. He loves lightsabers even though he’s not a big Star Wars fan.

I, on the other hand, am a huge Star Wars nerd. I’ve seen all the movies dozens of times, watched the TV show and read most of the books.

You need to have a talk with this staffer. Apparently he’s new around here, and doesn’t understand stating things “on record” are not necessary…especially the situation he was “on record” about.

Would this be like saying, “I’m on record that Metroid games should stop being produced”? :)
