In a quest to make sure that the Wii U has every game that was released in 2012 Warner Bros. has announced that they are bringing Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes to the console this year. The game will be available for purchase this Spring, with no firm date announced.

The game will take full advantage of the Wii U Game Pad allowing for an “enhanced” map for players and touch based character selection. Following in the footsteps of Activision’s Call of Duty: Black Ops II it will allow for split-screen multi-player with one player utilizing the Game Pad screen and the other using the television. The game will also allow for off-screen play should your child be watching Blue’s Clues or an episode of Batman: The Animated Series.
