Name: Shannon Rifenburg

Gaming History: The first game I remember playing as a kid was Donkey Kong Country for the SNES. The first console I could call my own was a Game Boy Color, my parents bought it for me one Christmas with Pokemon Yellow and Pokemon Pinball. I’ve had every handheld console from Nintendo since and have always enjoyed them more than any home console. I’ve had a GameCube, PS2, Xbox 360 and Wii but no matter how much I play them, they never compare to Nintendo’s handhelds.

Favorite Games: The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (GBA), Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, Riviera: The Promise Land, Disgaea: Hour of Darkness, GrimGrimoire, Cave Story, Shadow of the Colossus, Kingdom Hearts, Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective.

Who in the industry would you like to meet?: Miyamoto, Iwata, Reggie, Pixel.

If you could have one job in the games industry, what would it be?: I would like to be in marketing for Nintendo. To come up with ideas on how to get fans pumped for the next big thing or to be the one deciding how to re-name a game so that it would appeal to a US market. Or maybe be the one handling the comments of players, creating a database of user input and cataloging it in a way that could help game designers do better in the future.
