Nintendo Okie

Just when we thought it couldn’t get any worse from last week’s Amazon Japan debacle, Micah says the words “Animal Crossing toys.”  I think we need to shut off our internet.  It’s the only way we can be safe from all the amazing things Japan has to offer.  Anyway, during the podcast we talk about some games; like Medieval Moves for example.  We also hit what news we could scrape together for the week including the lastest from 38 Studios and an unhealthy amount of rumors and patents.  Great job, Jeremy!

This was too good to not see the light of day. Back on Episode 91 of the Nintendo Okie Podcast Shelby and I got side tracked and spent a good amount of time talking about the Smurfs. Shelby was amazed that I actually knew a lot about the Smurfs, but it’s a bunch of silly fun. This was originally hidden in the post of Episode 91, but you had to do a little bit of digging to find it. I thought this was too good to not hear so I’m posting it here for everyone’s enjoyment.

And here I thought it was a slow news week but it turns out we have a really long show today; over two hours.  How do we fill that much time?  Well, we harass each other a lot and we have a little talk with Gaz about a concerning situation in Europe.  We have talk of fighting on the moon, shooting yourself without knowing it and some other, not-so-crazy stuff.

This week on the Okie Cast a giant chicken sneaks into the recording.  Don’t ask me how it happened.  Even though I was there I don’t really understand it.  Not only do we have oversized chickens but also some talk of Kingdoms Of Amalur: Reckoning, Rhythm Heaven Fever and Newton Vs. The Horde as well as a stack of iOS software.  During the news we talk about turtles, space and DLC.  What a combo!

With the 100th podcast behind us, we have started preparations for the 100th Go Round.  As a side effect, my house was full of people.  After things calmed down, Tony, Micah and I recorded the podcast in the same room together; a podcast Triforce not seen since episode 78.  You can expect to hear such hits as; EA and the Online Pass, Oklahoma tax laws and GameStop can die in a fire.  Tune in, download and listen with your ears.

I left the flash drive that I had written everything on at work.  I went to grab it out of my pocket at home and the only thing in there was a couple of pennies.  Normally I email them to myself, but today I thought I’d just write them up and save them and bring them home.  So, you won’t get anything new from me today that I had planned.  I’ll see if I can come up with something else to post.
