It’s been a slow news week but we manage to fill the podcast fine. Exploding refrigerators, exploding comments, exploding Kirbys; this show has it all. We actually go over time as we devote the end of the podcast to that whole SOPA thing. You can also look forward to Micah’s tale of the Zelda orchestra, Tony’s adventure through demo land, Mac’s exploding fridge (I already said that) and I try to describe Kirby Mass Attack. And to think, this isn’t even show 100 yet.

So I guess the NFL playoffs are going on or something because there is a lot of football talk on this podcast.  Thankfully most of it is related to NFL Blitz.  This week Tony, Micah and I are joined by friend of the site Steve Conger from thegamesmen.com.  Other than Blitz we talk a little Saints Row: The Third, a little Dead Island and a little Zen Pinball.  When we get into news we discuss how one Chinese man hates his money, how Activision is paranoid about the internet and if Capcom has forgotten Mega Man exists.

Better late than never right?  We didn’t want to go two weeks without a podcast but with all the New Year stuff going on, we had a hard time getting a show together.  I had a hard time editing it too.  Mostly due to Saints Row: The Third.  Anyway, two days late, here is episode 97 of the Okie Cast.  We recorded in two chunks; one with Tony and myself then one with Tony and Micah.  We don’t talk about any news, instead just games we have been playing and we review our 2011 year in review articles that went up all last week.  Happy new year, everybody.  Let’s hope the world doesn’t come to an end.

Another week of news, another Okie Cast. This week, the trio of Tony, Micah and myself engage in a battle of wits. Not really, but that kind of sounded cool. We actually do the same thing we do every week. We talk about the latest nail in the coffin for The Last Guardian, how EA is breaking into the used car business and how the world loves to dance with little blue people. You won’t believe your ears… or maybe you will. How should I know?

People, this show was plagued by technical difficulties. I guess Skype hates us. However, I think we had a pretty good show. For the first time in a while, we have four people on the podcast. As the file downloads you can look forward to the following highlights; everyone yells at Mac as he defends Microsoft, I am labeled less of a man because I don’t own a 3DS, we learn that Tony stinks at Mario Kart and Micah just continues to be cool as he reminds us of all the above.

We are creeping closer to 100 every week. I don’t think I am ready for that many numbers. Thankfully we are still in the 90s, for now. Duty calls once again for Mac so we bring friend on the site, Micah Keyan. This week Micah and Tony both talk a lot about Super Mario 3D Land while I can do nothing but listen since I don’t have a 3DS. It’s for the best because I am too busy playing Borderlands anyway. You can expect all this and more on this week’s episode of the Okie Cast.

It’s an audio journey that is 67% immune to snow.
