3DS To Get Four New Downloadable Games, More 3D Video

The eShop has been devoid of any original titles, with the exception of Let’s Golf 3D. There are some titles in the works that we know about and will be hitting the store later this year. Nintendo has announced that they’re finally getting into the downloadable space on the 3DS with four new titles that are going to be available later this year, or early next year.

One of the titles that they announced, via a press release today, we already knew about, Dillon’s Rolling Western. This game, set in the Old West, stars an armadillo who must defend the town from baddies by literally rolling over them. This game was announced back at E3 with some footage of the game in action and is set to come out during the first quarter of 2012.

Freakyforms: Your Creations, Alive! is set to hit the eShop this November for $6.99. This title will let you design your own freaky creatures and bring them to life in full 3D. Pushmo is a puzzle game that will have you pushing and pulling blocks around in more than 250 levels this December. The last title announced isn’t so much a game as it is a messaging service. Swapnote will allow you to create 3D messages, complete with pictures and sound and send them to people on your friends list via both StreetPass and SpotPass. It will be available for free this December.

In addition to the two videos announced yesterday from Dreamworks, Nintendo has announced one more video available from the animation studio. This new video, available in the eShop for $1.99 stars the cast of Shrek dancing along to ‘Thriller’. If you’ve seen any of the Shrek movies you know what to expect with this one.
