Contest: Win a Copy of VVVVVV

Shannon posted his review of the devilishly difficult platformer VVVVVV today and we thought the game presented the perfect opportunity to hold a contest.  He wants someone else to experience this game, see what all the fuss was about and find out if you’ve got what it takes to beat his record.  What record are we talking about?  How many times he died during the course of his review playthrough.

He died a lot during the game, but we’re not going to tell you how many times he died.  We’re leaving that up to you.  All you need to do is send him an email with your guess as to how many times he died.  Send it to  Make sure you include your name so we know who to give credit to.  The person who can get closest to the actual number of times he died, without going over (don’t even think about guessing 1 time) will win a copy of VVVVVV from the Nintendo 3DS eShop.

You can only guess once so make it a good one! The winner will receive a FREE* COPY OF THE GAME VVVVVV (*This will actually be an $8 PayPal transfer to cover the cost of purchasing the game considering there is no way to gift it in the eShop.  Make sure you give us your Paypal address so that the money can be credited to you). ALL ENTRIES MUST BE RECEIVED BY 1/25/2012!!! The winner’s name and their guess contrasted with the actual number of deaths will be posted as a reply to this review on 1/26/2012.
