After a very long wait for its localization, it was a pleasant surprise when Nintendo announced they’d be localizing Fantasy Life for 3DS in both North America and Europe at E3 last year. It was a massive undertaking but one that gave us one of the most content heavy Japanese RPG’s this generation. While the game had a decent reception from critics and modest sales, the fan feedback was mostly positive. Positive enough to warrant a sequel. Just not for 3DS.
Fantasy Life 2: Two Moons And The Village of God was announced during Level-5’s Vision 2015 event for iOS and Android. The visual style is the same as its predecessor and uses some of the same maps for exploration. Fantasy Life 2 will feature the 12 lives that were in the original however the gameplay will be more focused on village building. You’ll even meet up with some returning characters on your adventures.
Did you purchase the original and hoped to see the sequel on 3DS?
