Last week Capcom said that remakes were going to be a large part of their business model going forward and they’re holding true to their word. Today the company confirmed that another remake is on the way. In a video presentation that lasted about a minute and a half (with about thirty seconds of that devoted to a potted green herb) the games Director, Koji Oda, and Producer, Tsukasa Takenaka, confirmed the remakes development.
13 years after the game was originally developed members of the development team that worked on Resident Evil 0 are back together to produce this remake. The game is set to come out in early 2016. It has been confirmed for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC. Another Resident Evil remake for a game that originally appeared on a Nintendo platform skipping Nintendo platforms this generation. I think it’s time to get used to that happening a lot more.
