A few days ago, EA and Ghost Games unveiled that a new Need for Speed titled is on the way and will be shown in full at E3. They’re stating it will be a reboot of the series and offers what the fans want. They’re promising a nocturnal open world, an urban street racing setting, and a lot of customization. Yesterday, EA announced on their Twitter that this iteration of Need for Speed will require online. Here’s what was said:
@DeanRheims NFS will require an online connection, but the benefits are nice. More variety and a more rewarding experience with friends.

In a separate tweet they explained that you and other players will craft the story. There’s no word yet on if there will be single player or local multiplayer. Need for Speed will be released later this year on Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC.
