European Releases Week Beginning 08/06/15

It’s Monday night which can mean only one thing. It’s time to see what’s coming out on the Nintendo family of consoles this week. It’s another quiet one but with at least one heavy hitter in there.

Wii U Virtual Console

Mega Man Battle Network 3 Blue (£6.29/€6.99) – Another entry in the GBA Mega Man series; Battle Network.  This looks like more of the same RPG action with battles taking place on a grid which you can move freely around. As I said, more of the same but that’s not necessarily a bad thing as the Battle Network series always gets great reviews.

Physical Releases

LEGO Jurassic World (£24.99/€29.99 on 3DS £29.99/€39.99) – This is actually a LEGO retelling of the original masterpiece (and other 2 atrocities) plus the new rebirth which looks like it’s going to be as ridiculous as a Sharknado reboot. Enough LEGO movie tie-ins have been made now for you to know if this is for you or not. However, I’ve heard that you can play as dinosaurs in this. In-which case, I might be up for it. Also it’s worth noting that this is confirmed for the 3DS eShop but not the Wii U.

Dr. Mario: Miracle Cure – (£8.99/€9.99) – This came out last week in Japan just after their Direct. We were expecting it to follow quite quickly on Western consoles but this soon is a really pleasant surprise. This combines both new  features and ones from previous instalments in the series including; multiplayer (both local and online), download play  and Dr. Luigi.

myles-foaleMyles’ Pick – Easy for me this week. I’m a huge fan of Dr. Mario (I have my Dr. Mario Amiibo on pre-order) having played the original version on the NES and various other versions that have come out over the intervening years. I’m confident that this’ll live up to my memories and I can’t wait to play it.
