While we’ve known about the existence of Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem for some time, we really don’t know much about the game. Back in April we were treated to the first trailer for the game but outside of that, the game is a pretty big mystery. Today, however, we do have some news for the game.
Mitsuru Hirata, supporting director of Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey and director for Atlus’ Radiant Historia (a personal favorite of mine), is the chief director of Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem. This information comes in the way of a blog post on the official website that was translated by Siliconera. Included in the blog post, is the above screen which shows off improved visuals from the Nintendo Direct two months ago.
While this isn’t much in the way of news, it is a good insight into how the game may feel. If you like the director’s previous work, you’re likely to like this.
Apparently it was just revealed that Eiji Ishada will be co-directing the game. Eiji Ishada previously worked as the chief designer of Shin Megami Tensei IV and development director of Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey.
