Nintendo TVii Icon Removed From European Wii U’s

If you live in Europe, it may feel like something is missing after the most recent Wii U firmware update. That’s because in Wii U Firmware update 5.4.0, Nintendo removed the Nintendo TVii icon.

Here in North America, Nintendo TVii was heavily promoted and played a big part in the New York Wii U promotional event. In Europe however, Nintendo TVii was never activated. Earlier this year, Nintendo officially cancelled the service in Europe. The removal of its icon comes as a surprise to nobody.
