It’s been more than six years (good grief, has it really been that long?) and there have been numerous sequels to the original Angry Birds. That’s not stopping Rovio from pulling a Square Enix-like move and announcing the upcoming release of Angry Birds 2. When it releases on July 30th it will officially be at least the 15th game to have Angry Birds in the title. We’ve seen numerous releases in the franchise included spin-offs featuring characters from Star Wars, Transformers and Rio.
We don’t know exactly which platforms the game will release on. You can almost be assured that it will launch on iOS, Android, Windows Phone and probably even Amazon devices. Rovio hasn’t officially announced where it will land on launch day. The trailer shows pigs, crates and features the sound of one very angry foul. Outside of that, there isn’t much info to go on.
