The newest NPD data is in and there’s some good news for Nintendo. While the Wii U console sales aren’t doing too well, Wii U software sales are up 10% for the first 7 months this year compared to last year. This is thanks to Splatoon, which has sold 85,000 units in its third month on the market in North America. This brings Splatoon up to 540,000 units in the U.S. and 1.6 million units worldwide.
That’s not all though. The 3DS is up 35% in the first seven months of the year compared to last year. This is thanks to the launch of the New 3DS and several key titles. Hopefully Nintendo can continue to outperform their sales last year during the holidays.
