Owners of NBA Playgrounds on Switch were promised that the online functions of the game would be available within a few days of the game’s launch. To this point that still hasn’t happened and the team behind the game is aware that many people aren’t happy. So they’re doing what they can to make it right.
>First the say that the update will be coming soon and that as soon as that is available everyone will be able to play the game online. Secondly they say, “words are cheap, and games are not.” So they’re going to be doing something about that and everyone that buys a copy of the game before the patch goes live will be getting the company’s next game for free when it launches later this year. Shaq-Fu: The Legend Reborn will be available as a free download to all Switch owners.
The game’s first content update goes is now live for PS4 and PC owners. Xbox One and Switch owners can expect the update to drop soon. This content update adds 15 new players to the game’s roster, including Isaiah Thomas, Dennis Rodman, and more playable versions of Shaq from all the different teams he played for. Challenge Mode will allow players to challenge others online and is currently available for all platforms, except Switch. When the online patch goes live this feature will be added to that version of the game. The shooting mechanic has been tweaked to add a meter that will help you make the perfect shot more often and a connection manager to help manage the connection against other players is also available. The company says that new players will continue to be added in future updates.
So, what do you think? Is a copy of Shaq-Fu apology enough for the issues that have plagued the Switch version of the game? If you’re interested in that game grabbing a copy of NBA Playgrounds would be a good deal as you get two games for the $19.99 asking price.
