Namco Museum Review (Switch)

Even though Bandai Namco makes sure to release Pac-Man, Dig Dug, and Galaga on virtually everything with a screen, it has been nearly seven years since we’ve seen a proper Namco Museum compilation. With this latest entry, Bandai Namco brings an interesting mix of their arcade classics along with the Nintendo-exclusive, Pac-Man Vs., to Nintendo Switch. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Spirit of Justice Review (3DS)

In a land far, far away where attorneys are all but a myth and prosecutors reign free.  Where those who proclaim innocence are silenced by the legal system.  There exists one man who will stand in the way.  A man out for justice, not for one, but for all.  And his name is… Phoenix Wright. The Big Game of the Week: Lost Reavers Open Beta for Nintendo Wii U – Free
Bandi Namco’s free to play co-operative shooter will be in an open beat until April 26th. The game has been featured on several Nintendo Directs and looks like a fairly wacky affair. You can play with up to three friends online in treasure hunting missions. Each character has a different attack style including a bazooka wielding soldier and a school girl who has a sword. This looks like it could be a really fun and mature (something the Wii U desperately needs) experience and it’s free too! Continue reading “Nintendo Download for Europe 14/04/16”

Star Ghost Review

Star Ghost is addictive. It’s as simple as that; if you want a game to obsess over and scores to chase than stop reading this right now and go and buy this game.

For those who are still here, Star Ghost is the first game from Squarehead Studios, which is a small independent game developer based out of Wales in the UK with a great pedigree in Nintendo gaming, with the head of the studio having worked previously at Retro Games and Rare. Star Ghost was released on March 10th, exclusively on the Wii U eShop for €8.99/£7.99. Continue reading “Star Ghost Review”

Nintendo Download for Europe 31/03/16

There’s one question that matters. How much chocolate did you eat? I ate so much that I couldn’t even use my laptop to do the Nintendo Download yesterday, but fear not! Here it is only a day late!

The Big Game of the Week: Metroid Other M for the Nintendo Wii Virtual Console (£17.99/€19.99)
Metroid other M was originally released for the Nintendo Wii way back in 2010 and is one of the most divisive Metroid games in the series. It was developed in collaboration with Team Ninja and tries to blend 1st and 3rd person styles. Continue reading “Nintendo Download for Europe 31/03/16”

Nintendo Download for Europe – 24/03/16

The Nintendo Download is back. I apologise for this weekly article disappearing. Christmas and life got in the way but hopefully I can get back into the rhythm of getting this out on a Monday/Tuesday once again. I’m going to change the format up a little bit to make it a bit more readable and (hopefully) a bit easier to produce. Anyway, here’s this week releases coming to Nintendo consoles this week. Joe’s Top 5 Games of 2015

I didn’t play a ton of games this past year. What I did play though was amazing and filled me and my house with tons of fun, thought, nostalgic moments, and hope for things to come.

5) Monikers

One of my good friends introduced me to this game, and in exchange I introduced him to a lot of great Nintendo games. This one isn’t so much a video-game as it is a card-based game. Continue reading “Joe’s Top 5 Games of 2015”

Minecraft is heading to Wii U this month!

That’s right, the hugely popular franchise Minecraft will be heading to Nintendo’s home console; the Wii U later on this month. It is currently scheduled for release on 17th December on the eShop in Europe and North America with a physical release apparently coming “later”. No price has been confirmed for Europe but North America will be paying $29.99 which converts to £19.99, so £25 … Continue reading Minecraft is heading to Wii U this month!

European Releases Week Beginning: 30th August

First off, I’m sorry about the sporadic and inconsistent manner of this post for the last few weeks. As I’ve been off work family life has been coming first so I haven’t always had a laptop or internet connection to do it. However, I’m back now so things can get back to normal. So let’s see what’s coming out the week… Continue reading “European Releases Week Beginning: 30th August”
